			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After a two week break due to the weather, action got underway again in the Braintree and North Essex Sunday League this week.</p>
<p>In the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Premier Division</strong></span> Bocking &amp; Vipers Social moved up to second with a 3-1 win at home against Essex Cricketers. Cricketers took an early lead when Dan Clark scored from a corner and it stayed that way until half-time despite the home side being camped in the visitors half. Two goals from Dan Vile and a fine individual from Craig Copas saw the home side come back to take the points in the second half.</p>
<p>Bridgelink continued their impressive first season in the division as they beat second placed SC Crittall 3-2. Adam Pomphrett, Dave Riley and Joe McCracken were on target for the hosts who remain in fourth place. Bradley Hickman and Scott Lodge scored for Crittall&#8217;s who drop a place to third.</p>
<p>Western Arms moved off the bottom of the table on goal difference with a 6-1 win at home against Rayne. Mike Reeve and Sam Hollocks both scored hat-tricks for western who lead 2-1 at half-time. Tom Lee scored the consolation for Rayne.</p>
<p>CFC Shalford are through to the final of the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Premier Division Cup</strong></span> after a 4-2 semi-final win away against Argos United. Andy Turner gave Shalford the lead in the first half but Brendon Corr equalised for the home side straight from the restart. Mitchell Simmons put the visitors back in front only for Brendon Corr to equalise again straight from the kick-off to send the teams in at half time level at 2-2. Two second half goals from Gavin Bensley saw shal;ford through to face George FC in the final.</p>
<p>Panfield Bell Rovers extended their lead at the top of <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division One</strong></span> to seven points after a 7-0 away win against Cressing. Jack Dean scored a hat-trick to take his tally in the league to 22 for the season, Dan Mackie, Adam Hynes, Sam Barden and Charlie Frost were also on target.</p>
<p>Essex Police are through to the final of the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #888888;"><strong>Division One Cup</strong></span></span> securing their place with a 2-1 victory after extra time against Beaumont Wanderers. in a game conteseted between two evenly matched sides visitors Beaumont took the lead after 10 minutes when Exra Drann scored following a corner. The Police came more in to the game as the half wore on and snatched an equaliser with a minute of the first half remaining when Matt Stacey scored. The second half continued with both sides looking for the winner and the home side thought they had won the tie with two minutes remaining when Stacey scored only for it to be ruled out by the referee meaning the extra thirty minutes was required. Matt Stacey won it for the Police scoring his second of the game in extra time following a mix up in the Beaumont defence. This result see&#8217;s the Police in to their first BNESL cup final.</p>
<p>Beacon Hill Social made it eleven wins out of eleven in <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division Two</strong></span> as they won 2-0 in the top of the table clash against Notley. Eddie Holroyd and a Rob Hewer free-kick gave the hosts maximum points leaving them eight points clear.</p>
<p>Third placed Braintree Town Supporters were held to a 0-0 draw away against fourth placed Braintree Sporting.</p>
<p>Tolleshunt Knight Eagles remain seventh after a 5-2 win away against bottom of the table Onley Arms. Scott Simmons continued his goalscoring form with four goals and Onley scored an own goal to complete the scoring. Jack Soar and Luke Reeves scored for the home side.</p>
<p>Titan United won 4-1 at home against Cressin Yardley United. Aaron Felton scored a hat-trick with Craig Tomlinson completing the scoring.</p>
<p>New Street Saints picked up their second victory of the season in <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division Three</strong></span> as they won 4-0 away against Great Bardfield. Joe Cornwall scored twice with George Fink and Lee Flint also on target.</p>
<p>Leaders Sporting 77 Reserves were held to a 3-3 draw at home against Witham Galcticos. Chris Cook with two and Jamie Bowen scored for the hosts. Jamie Lawes, an own goal and a fine 25 yard strike from Ryan McCormack gave visitors Galacticos a share of the points.</p>
<p>Great Notley moved up to third after a 1-0 win at home against Bell United. Tristan Wolfenden scored the only goal of the game for the hosts.</p>
<p>Frontline Reserves are through to the semi-final of the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division Three Cup</strong></span> after extra time and penalties were needed to seperate them and hosts Witham Phoenix. Frontline took an lead through Billy Andrews but with ten minutes of the second half gone goals from Andy Pennock, Aaron O&#8217;Shea and two from Jon Flowers had given the hosts a 4-1 lead. The visitors fought back and levelled the scores with goals from Ben McGlashen, Dean Cater and Billy Andrews getting his second. Andrews completed his hat-trick to give Frontline a 5-4 lead in extra time but Jamie Mitchell scored for the hosts to make it 5-5 sending the tie to penalties with Frontline coming out winners 5-4.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Another week of high scoring matches in the Braintree &amp; North Essex Sunday League.</p>
<p>In the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Premier Division</strong></span> leaders George FC lost for the first time this season as they went down 3-1 away to fourth place Bridgelink. George took a 1-0 lead in to half-time after Craig Rumbelow had found the net but Bridgelink came out flying in the second half and took all three points thanks to goals from Dave Riley, Adam Pomphrett and Matt Archer. Bridgelink move up a place to third on goal difference.</p>
<p>An amazing game took place between second placed SC Critall and third placed Bocking &amp; Vipers Social with thirteen goals being scored. SC Crittall lead 3-2 at half-time, Bocking then went into a 5-3 lead during the second half before Crittall came back and won 8-5. Shayne Hill scored a brace for hosts Bocking along with other goals from Elliot Vile, Bradley Fisher and George Lay. Bradley Hickman scored four, James Cordery with two, Steve Bright and Matt Staines for Crittalls who cut George FC&#8217;s lead at the top to five points and they have three games in hand.</p>
<p>The bottom two in the division Argos United and Western Arms fought out a 2-2 draw. Brendon Corr and Sean Carter scored for Argos, Mike Reeve scored both for Western.</p>
<p>Rayne and Essex Cricketers drew 3-3 in another entertaining game. Aaron Mitson, Paul Wicks and Luke Bearman scored for hosts Rayne while Jon Slater with two and Lewis Bentley scored for Cricketers.</p>
<p>Witham Phoenix are through to the next round of the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Malcolm Foy Trophy</strong></span> after a 4-3 win after extra time against Bell United. Kev Wells with two and Carl Snell scored for Bell with Jon Flowers,Andy Pennock and Danny Kemp scoring for Phoenix during normal as the tie ended 3-3. Tony Lowden scored the winner for Phoenix during extra time to send them through to face Witham Galacticos in the semi-final.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division One</strong></span> leaders Panfield Bell Rovers stretched their lead at the top of the table to five points as they won 9-0 at home to Horse &amp; Groom. Charlie Frost scored a fabulous five goals, Jack Dean two and one each for Sam Barden and Will Bowen.</p>
<p>Second placed Old Bramstonians were held to a 0-0 draw at home against Bocking Sports.</p>
<p>Fourth placed Beaumont Wanderers entertained fifth place Essex Police with the hosts taking the lead in the first half through James Clark. Essex Police earned a share of the points when Adam Dowsett fired home the equaliser with ten minutes remaining as the match ended 1-1.</p>
<p>Cressing lifted themselves off the bottom of the table albeit on goal difference after a 4-2 home win against second from bottom Frontline. Kean Riseborough scored twice with one being a screamer, Owen Rogers and Dean Chalk scored the other goals.</p>
<p>Notley are through to the final of the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Second Division Cup</strong></span> after they won 3-1 after extra time against Titan United. Paul Webster had given visitors Titan the lead and they could of put the tie out of reach had they of converted a penalty but Notley&#8217;s keeper Darren Ward saved the spot kick and this changed the game as minutes later Notley equalised against the run of play when Kieran Bristow scored to send the game in to extra time. Goals from Rob Cork and a penalty from Kyle English in the added on period wrapped up the game for Notley.</p>
<p>Beacon Hill Social continued their 100% record in <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division Two</strong></span> when they won 4-1 at home to Sporting 77. Jamie Cracknell scored two for the hosts with Eddie Holroyd and Simon Roast also on target. Jason Hopkins scored the only goal for Sporting. Beacon Hill lead the table by five points.</p>
<p>Braintree Town Supporters won 8-3 at home to bottom of the table Onley Arms. Jamie Blagden and Lee Cuddeford both scored twice, Damion Moy converted a penalty with the other goals coming from Ben Scrivener, Adam Francis and Gary Johnson for the supporters who move up a place to fourth on goal difference. Jack Soar, Daniel Bell and Stuart Cann scored for Onley.</p>
<p>CFC Shalford Reserves entertained fourth placed Cressing Yardley United and picked up all three points with a 5-2 win. Aaron Mead scored a fine hat-trick with Gavin Holroyd scoring the other two. Shalford remain in sixth spot while United drop a place to fifth on goal difference.</p>
<p>Sporting 77 Reserves extended their lead at the top of <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division Three</strong></span> after they won 9-3 at home to New Street Saints. The hosts who lead 6-1 at the break scored through Tom Gormley with a hat-trick, Martin Brighton and Jack McIntyre both scored two and one apiece for Chris Cook and Tim Howlett. Joe cornwall with a brace and Dan Lodge scored the goals for saints.</p>
<p>Second placed CFC Shalford &#8216;A&#8217; drew 2-2 at home against fourth placed Great Notley. The league&#8217;s top goalscorer Tristan Wolfenden gave the visitors the lead before Phil Goodwin scored to send the teams in level at 1-1 at the interval. Wolfenden scored his second of the game to put Great notley 2-1 ahead 10 minutes in to the second half, Goodwin got his second of the game for Shalford as he equalised again to make it 2-2. The game could of gone either way with both sides having decent chances to win the game but in the end the points were shared.</p>
<p>Great Bardfield moved up a place to seventh after a 2-1 win at home against Frontline Reserves. Matt Potter and Llewelyn Glafford on target for Bardfield. Danny Kett scored the only goal for Frontline.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Braintree and North Essex Sunday League&#8217;s final representative in the Essex County Cup competitions Beacon Hill Social bowed at the fourth round stage of the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Sunday Junior Trophy</strong></span>. After a decent run in the competition they lost 5-3 at home against Barking (Community). Jamie Cracknell, Dean Slater and Eddie Holroyd scoring the goals.</p>
<p>George FC extended their lead at the top of the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Premier Division</strong></span> to eight points after they won 4-0 at home against third placed Bocking and Vipers Social. Ricky Finnigan opened the scoring with a penalty, Left back Nick Boorman scored with a superb 25 yard strike, Adam Gillespie made it three with Josh Goodey completing the scoring with a free-kick.</p>
<p>Bottom of the table Western Arms picked up their second win of the season beating Essex Cricketers 4-2 at Silver End. Sam Hollocks scored twice for the hosts with Adam Hewitt and Mike Reeve also on Target. Liam Paton scored both goals for Cricketers.</p>
<p>CFC Shalford are through to the semi-final of the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Premier Division Cup</strong></span> after they won 7-3 at home against Rayne. The game was evenly poised at 1-1 at the interval after Rayne had took the lead through Luke Culling. Gavin Bensley levelled things up. In the second half Shalford took control and ran out comfortable winners with two more goals from Bensley to complete his hat-trick with other goals coming from Sam Jones, Jordan Miller, Kane morgan and Nick Stackhouse. Rayne who fought hard pulled two goals back with Aaron Mitson and Paul Wicks on target.</p>
<p>The leaders of <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division One</strong></span> Panfield Bell Rovers were held to a 2-2 draw as they travelled to face third placed Braintree Old Boys. Charlie Frost scored both goals for Rovers while Charlie Palmer with a penalty and James Duckworth replied for the hosts.</p>
<p>Second placed Old Bramstonians suffered a shock defeat losing 1-0 away against bottom of the table Frontline. Fisher scored the only goal of the game for Frontline who are off the bottom leapfrogging Cressing after this result.</p>
<p>Beaumont Wanderers remain in fourth place after they drew 1-1 away against Bocking Sports. Rowen Drann gave the visitors the lead after 15 minutes tapping home after a goalkeeping error, Bocking found the equaliser with 3 minutes left when Robin Butcher found the net.</p>
<p>Essex Police won 4-1 away against Horse &amp; Groom and remain in fifth place. Aaron Heard scored twice with one apiece for Matt Stacey and Adam Dowsett. Simon Butcher scored the consolation for the home side.</p>
<p>Notley closed the gap on the leaders in <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division Two</strong></span> to two points as they won 4-3 away against third placed Braintree Sporting. Kieran Bristow scored a brace, Kyle English with a penalty and an own goal saw the visitors claim maximum points. Alex Rudgley, Chris Downer and Jack Skinner were on target for Braintree Sporting.</p>
<p>Bottom of the table Onley Arms collected their second point of the season when they drew 1-1 away against fourth placed Cressing Yardley United. Lewis Dyson Scored for the home side, Daniel Bell finding the net for Onley.</p>
<p>Second from bottom Sporting 77 won 3-1 away against Titan United. Billy Capper scored two with Mark Sadler also on target as Sporting increse the gap between them and bottom place to six points. Aaron Felton scored the only goal for United.</p>
<p>Tolleshunt Knight Eagles won 3-2 at home against Braintree Town Supporters. The visitors took an early lead through Adam Francis but the hosts came back well with some excellant football to make it 3-1 at half-time thanks to a brace from Scott Simmons and one from Sam Berriman. The second half saw Town dominate with the wind at their backs and it wasnt long before Robbie Willcocks pulled a goal back to make it 3-2, Eagles hung on well to the one goal lead as it was wasnt for a fine save from Eagles sub keeper Lumb the points could of been shared.</p>
<p>In <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division Three</strong></span> Witham Phoenix won 2-1 at home against Great Bardfield thanks to goals from Jon Flowers and Andy Pennock, phoenix are third with four games in hand and eight points behind second place. Matt Potter scored the goal for Great Bardfield who remain second from bottom.</p>
<p>Grat Notley, witham Galacticos and Bell United United made it through to the semi-final of the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division Three Cup</strong></span>.</p>
<p>Great Notley knocked unbeaten league leaders Sporting 77 Reserves out after a goal from Tristan Wolfenden with 12 minutes remaining gave them a 1-0 victory. Sporting could of had the game wrapped up by half-time but they missed a penalty and several glorious chances but it wasnt to be there day.</p>
<p>Witham Galacticos beat highflying CFC Shalford &#8216;A&#8217; 4-3 after extra-time. Galacticos went into a 2-0 lead with Mark Ballard netting twice, Shalford pulled one back before half-time when Adam Archer scored. Archer scored again to level the scores at 2-2 in the second half but Galacticos kept fighting and went 3-2 ahead when Ballard completed his hat-trick. Shalford made it 3-3 when a Galacticos player scored an own goal to send the game into extra time. The winner came in the first period of added on time when substitute Jamie Adams scored to see Galacticos through.</p>
<p>Bell United are through after they travelled to New Street Saints and won 5-2. Kev Wells scored a hat-trick with Adam Cunningham and Carl Snell also on the scoresheet. Dean Passfield and Ricky Parish scored for Saints.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The final two games in the third round of the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Charlie Turnbull Trophy</strong></span> took place with Bocking &amp; Vipers Social and SC Crittall progressing to the quarter finals.</p>
<p>Bocking won 3-1 at home against fellow Premier division side Rayne. Rayne took an early lead against the run of play when Luke Bearman fired home from the penalty spot. Bocking equalised when Matt Hobley chipped home and despite pressing hard to find the winner, Rayne forced the tie into extra time. Both teams pushed for a winner in the added on period but it was Bocking who scored with two counter attacks with Aaron Chinnery and Craig Copas finding the net to see the hosts through.</p>
<p>SC Crittall won 8-1 away against Division One Panfield Bell Rovers. The away side lead 5-0 at the break and ran out comfortable winners with James Beattie scoring twice along with two wonder strikes from Mitchell Hickman with James Cordery, Jon Read and an own goal completing the scoring. Kevin Storey scored the only goal for Rovers.</p>
<p>Witham Galacticos, Notley and Sporting 77 Reserves are through to the semi finals of the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Malcolm Foy Trophy</strong></span>.</p>
<p>Witham Galacticos of Division Three pulled of a fine result beating Division Two Cressing Yardley United 3-2. Ricky Baker, Adam Clark and a 25 yard volley from Kane Orr saw the visitors through, Charlie Groves scored both goals for United.</p>
<p>Division Three strugglers Great Bardfield lost 4-0 at home to Division Two highfliers Notley. Ricky Crimmins scored a fine hat-trick one a header, one a fine turn and a strike and one from the penalty spot with Lee Parker also on target from the spot.</p>
<p>Division Three leaders Sporting 77 Reserves beat Division Two Tolleshunt Knight Eagles after a penalty shoot-out was required. Scott Simmons put the visitors ahead after 12 minutes with Sporting equalising just before half-time through Jack McIntyre. Chris Cook put the home side 2-1 ahead 6 minutes into the second half but Eagles equalised with 7 minutes of normal time remaining. Neither side could be separated in extra time with Sporting coming out on top 5-3 in the penaly shoot-out.</p>
<p>George FC are the first team into a cup final this season as they secured their place in the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Premier Division Cup</strong></span> final after a 6-2 home win against Essex Cricketers. Josh Goodey and Leroy Facey both scored twice with Goodey scoring one from an excellant volley. Ricky Finnigan scored a penalty and another fine volley this time from Jamie Fisher completed the scoring. Nick Carscadden and Dan Clark scored consolation goals for Cricketers.</p>
<p>In the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Premier Division</strong></span> Bridgelink won 7-3 away against Argos United. Adam Pomphrett and Joe McCracken both scored hat-tricks and James Howes with the other goal as the away side close the gap on the top three. Brendon Corr with two and Lee Buckley scored for Argos.</p>
<p>CFC Shalford won 6-2 at home against bottom of the table Western Arms. Western with a much changed team of late had a decent first half and created the best of the chances early on only for the home side to take the lead before the interval when Gavin Bensley fired home. Bensley completed his hat-trick in the second half with other goals coming from Mitchell Simmons, Andy Turner and Nick Stackhouse. The home side took their foot of the pedal and allowed Western to score twice in the last 10 minutes through Sam Hollocks and Mike Reeve.</p>
<p>Second in <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division One</strong></span> Old Bramstonians won 5-4 at home against Horse &amp; Groom to leave themselves a point behind leaders Panfield having played a game more. Jon Islip, Sam Parsons, Billy Newley, Jay Mathams and Tony Wilkerson scored for the hosts. Stuart Joyce, Michael Cole, Jack Gilchrist and Adrian Agyemang-Duah were on target for the visitors.</p>
<p>Braintree old Boys moved up a place to third on goal difference as they won 3-1 away against Essex Police. Robbie Spalding, Rob Cole and a penalty from Charlie Palmer gave Old Boys maximum points. Frankie Cole scored the only goal for the Police.</p>
<p>Beaumont Wanderers and Cressing drew 1-1. Visitors Cressing took the lead through Charlie Spooner with Wanderers leaving it late to equaliser and earn a share of the points when centre half Dave Smith scored in the last ten minutes.</p>
<p>Beacon Hill Social&#8217;s 100% record in <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division Two</strong></span> continued as they won 5-2 away against Braintree Town Supporters. Adam Francis and Gary johnson scored for the home side. Eddie Holroyd scored twice for the visitors along with others goals from Rob Hewer, Jamie Cracknell and Anthony Cantey.</p>
<p>CFC Shalford Reserves picked up a good three points winning 1-0 away against third placed Braintree Sporting. Aaron Mead scored the only goal of the game sliding the ball past the keeper with around 15 minutes remaining.</p>
<p>Titan United moved up a place to seventh after a 2-1 win away against bottom of the table Onley Arms with Simon Ackland and Craig Tomlinson scoring the goals. Jack Soar scored the only goal for Onley.</p>
<p>In <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division Three</strong></span> second placed CFC Shalford &#8216;A&#8217; were losing 2-0 at half time against Bell United with goals from Kev Wells and Jon Roper. The visitors came flying back to win 7-2 in the second half. Danny Saffer scored a hat-trick, Phil Goodwin two and one each for Trevor Chopping and Darren Pitt.</p>
<p>Witham Phoenix are up to third on goal difference after winning 8-2 at home against New Street Saints. Andy Pennock and Jon Flowers both scored hat-tricks with Jamie Mitchell and Tony Lowden scoring one apiece. Saints who earned praise from opposing manager Terri Whyman for their attidude and spirit shown scored thanks to Joe Cornwall and Dan Lodge.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The first round of fixtures for 2012 took place on Sunday with The Charlie Turnbull Memorial Trophy taking centre stage with six third round matches taking place.</p>
<p>Premier Division side CFC Shalford were the highest scorers of the day in the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Charlie Turnbull Trophy</strong></span> winning 12-2 at home against Division One Frontline. The hosts lead 6-0 at the break thanks to four goals from Gavin Bensley and two from Mitchell Simmons. Further goals from Jordan Miller and Sam Jones with two each and one each from Adam French and Liam Blackburn completed the rout. The visitors to their credit didnt lie down and upped their game in the second half and pulled two goals back through Wayne Chipperfield who scored both.</p>
<p>Bridgelink of the Premier Division won 8-3 at home against Division Two highfliers Notley. Dave Riley scored five, Adam Pomphrett two and one from James Howes. Kieran Bristow with two and Rob Cork scored the goals for Notley.</p>
<p>Division One Beaumont Wanderers won 2-0 in a tricky match at home against Division Two leaders Beacon Hill Social. Ezra Drann gave the hosts a 1-0 lead at half-time with a volley and brother Rowen Drann tapped home number two during the second half to send Wanderers through to the next round.</p>
<p>Division Three side Great Bardfield beat Division Two Braintree Town Supporters 3-2. Llewellyn Glafford, Jamie Naughton and an own goal scored for the home side. Paul Miller and a Damion Moy penalty scored for the visitors.</p>
<p>Onley Arms bottom of Division Two put in a fine performance at home against George FC of the Premier Division losing 4-2. Jack Soar had given the hosts a shock lead but goals from Marc Champ, Jamie Fisher, Josh Goodey and Steve McCoy put George out of sight, Soar scored his second of the game for Onley to give them a respectable result.</p>
<p>The shock of the round came as Premier Division Western Arms lost 2-1 at home against Division Three Bell United. Mike Reeve scored the only goal for Western. Two goals from Kev Wells saw Bell into the hat for the next round.</p>
<p>In the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Premier Division</strong></span> second placed Bocking and Vipers Social travelled to face third placed SC Crittall. The hosts had virtually wrapped up the points as they lead 4-0 at the break thanks to a hat-trick from Scott Lodge and one from Jake Gilder, Lodge scored two more in the second half to take his tally in the match to five and with his side winning 6-0 enabled them to jump above their opponents into second.</p>
<p>Argos United and Essex Cricketers fought out a 1-1 draw. Michael Pennefather scored for Argos, Richard Barnes scoring for Cricketers.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division One</strong></span> leaders Panfield Bell Rovers extended their lead at the top of the table to four points after a 4-2 away win against Essex Police. Keith Cassidy, Will Bowen, Sam Barden and the league&#8217;s top scorer Jack Dean netted for the visitors. Tom Stokes and Frankie Cole scored for the hosts.</p>
<p>Old Bramstonians are up to second after a 1-0 win away against Cressing. Mark Everitt netted the only goal of the game.</p>
<p>Bocking Sports and Braintree Old Boys drew 1-1. After a goalless first half Charlie Palmer opened the scoring for Old Boys with his fifteenth league goal of the campaign and looked to be on there way to maximum points but Bocking equalised with three minutes left when Rick McDonald scored to earn his side a share of the spoils.</p>
<p>In <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division Two</strong></span> third placed Braintree Sporting lost 2-1 away against Titan United. Ben Benning and a fine 25 yard strike from Craig Tomlinson gave the hosts all three points, Jack Skinner scored for Braintree Sporting.</p>
<p>Sporting 77 and Cressing Yardley United drew 2-2. Billy Capper and Luke Anderson notched for the home side Sporting, Steve Crosdale and Lewis Dyson scored for United who remain in fourth place.</p>
<p>Tolleshunt Knight Eagles and CFC Shalford Reserves fought out a 0-0 draw as neither side could capitalise on the chances they had.</p>
<p>In <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division Three</strong></span> second placed CFC Shalford &#8216;A&#8217; won 6-1 at home against Witham Galacticos. Danny Saffer scored five with Phil Goodwin also on target. Jamie Lawes scored the consolation for Galacticos.</p>
<p>Great Notley moved up two places to third after a 2-1 home win against Frontline Reserves. Tristan Wolfenden scored both goals to take his tally for the season to 27 in the league.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In the final round of matches before the Christmas break in the Braintree and North Essex Sunday League, three matches were lost to the frosty conditions and one was abandoned due to a serious injury.</p>
<p>Only one <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Premier Division</strong></span> fixture took place with SC Crittall moving a point behind second placed Bocking and Vipers Social in third after a 6-2 away win against Essex Cricketers. Bradley Hickman scored a hat-trick with Scott Lodge, Graham Luxford and James Cordery also on target. Dean Cross and an own goal were on target for Cricketers.</p>
<p>In <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Divison One</strong></span> Panfield Bell Rovers had the chance to go top of the table with a win against Essex Police but they lost 3-2 at home. Sam Barden and Jack Dean scored for the home side while Matt Stacey, Immanuel Lawrence and Gavin Lawes were on target for Essex Police.</p>
<p>Cressing won 3-1 away at Frontline. Ross McClaren, Perry Hooker and Charlie Spooner netted for Cressing.</p>
<p>Bocking Sports won 5-3 away against Horse &amp; Groom. Rob Butcher scored twice with further goals from Will Jenner, Rick McDonald, and Joe Butcher. Jack Gilchrist scored a hat-trick for the hosts.</p>
<p>In <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division Two</strong></span> Braintree Sporting moved up a place to third after a 4-0 win away against CFC Shalford Reserves. Jack Skinner, Rob Burdge and Alex Rudgley with two scored for the visitors.</p>
<p>Cressing Yardley United are up to fourth after a 2-0 win at home against Titan United. Lewis Dyson and Steve Crosdale scoring for the hosts.</p>
<p>Onley Arm&#8217;s game at home against Notley was abandoned due to a serious injury to one of the visitors players.</p>
<p>Sporting 77 Reserves 100% record in <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division Three</strong></span> was ended as they drew 1-1 at home against Witham Phoenix. Phoenix started the game well and took the lead after 15 minutes when Ryan Griffiths netted. The league leaders didnt start playing until the second half and they equalised after 55 minutes thanks to Martin Brighton&#8217;s strike, they piled on the pressure in the last 35 minutes and missed several glorious chances to win the match with two chances cleared off the line but they were unable to find a winner and had to settle for a point.</p>
<p>CFC Shalford &#8216;A&#8217; won 8-0 at home against Great Bardfield to cement second place in the table. Phil Goodwin scored four and one a piece for Jamie Hambleton, Jon Halls, Adam Archer and Gavin Bensley.</p>
<p>Bell United moved up to third in the table as they won 3-1 away against Frontline Reserves. Chris Liddard, Tom Spooner and Adam Parker netting the goals. Rob Chapman scored the only goal for Frontline.</p>
<p>Witham Galacticos won 5-1 at home against New Street Saints. Jamie Lawes scored twice, one a thirty yard half volley and Adam Clark scored a fine hat-trick&#8230;one with his left foot, one with his right foot and a header to complete the scoring. Dean Passfield scored the consolation for Saints.</p>
