Essex Sunday Premier Cup

Broomfield travelled to Harlow Rangers ground with Harlow Rangers winning 6-2. Broomfield’s goal scorers were Ben Hampton and Manny Lawrence.

Essex Sunday Junior Cup

Great Bradford’s were home to FC Byair Res, Great Bradford’s won 3-2. Great Bradford’s goal scorers were Andy Turner 2 and Ross Swann.

Bocking Social Reserves were away to Cole Green with Cole Green winning 2-0.

Bridge street Hearts hosted Sporting 77. Bridge Street Hearts won 3-1. Sporting 77 goal scorer was Chris Cook.

Witham Phoenix played Panfield Bell with Witham Phoenix winning 6-3. Phoenix goals came from Fabrice Williams 2, Darren Stokes, Tony Lowden, Jack Vidler and Shane Love, Panfield Bell scorers were Joe Johnson, Dave Shaw & Sahota.

Great Bradford Reserves were home to CUSA. Great Bradford’s won 2-0. Great Bradford’s Reserves goal scorers were Leon Griffin & Owen Grey.

Gordon Snell Trophy 2nd Round

CFC Shalford 5 Great Notley 2

Shalford entertained division one table toppers Great Notley.

The home took the lead in 17th minute when a cross/shot from Owen Rogers was deflected in to his own goal by Great Notley defender Boddington.

Shalford increased the lead after 30 minutes when Aaron Collier fired home a stunning free-kick from outside the penalty area.

Shalford made it 3-0 19 minutes in to the second half, good build up play down the right saw Stefan Gray set up Dean Chalk to strike the ball past the keeper.

It was 4-0 after 71 minutes to, good build up play again saw full back Clarke shot at goal the keeper pushed the ball out and with the ball bouncing around the 6 yard area Mihlenstadt controlled the ball and rolled in from a yard out.

Great Notley kept battling and pulled a goal back with 8 minutes left when James Bull got away down the right and he fired in off the post.

Shalford then made it 5-1 when a great strike from Matt Smith cannoned off the bar and Hayden Mihlenstadt was on hand to score his second of the game hooking the ball in.

Great Notley scored a second in the final seconds when James Watson ran through the Shalford defence and slid past the advancing keeper.

Premier Division

Black Notley 4th were away to Witham United 7th. The final score was 2-6 to Black Notley. Witham United goal scorer was R. King 2 and Black Notley’s Goal scorers were Liam Paton 3, Tom Gildart, Harry Seal and Terry White.

Bocking Social 8th were home to Flitch United 2nd. Flitch United won 1-8. Bocking Social goal scorer was Harry Groves from a penalty and Flitch United goal scorers were Nigel Ocolade 5, Jake Buckland, Theo Manley & James Laird.

Nags Head Celtic – top of the Premier league hosted Western Arms 5th, with the home team winning 4-2 and staying top of the division. Nags Head Celtic scorers Jack Palmer, Stacey Dawes and Charlie Palmer with Western Arms goals scored by Sam Hollocks & Kev Hawes.

Valley Green 11th played Tiptree Elite 10th. Tiptree Elite picked up the points by winning 2-3. Valley Green goal scorers were Ryan Schofield & Jack Stoneham. Tiptree Elite’s goal scorers were Mario Andrew 2 & Scott Simmons.

Division One

Great Bardfield 2 v 2 Notley FC
Darren Douglas opened the scoring with a delightful finish by lobbing the keeper, this was his first ever goal after 15 years of playing. Bardfield equalized direct wind assisted from a corner. They took the lead mid way into the 2nd half but Notley finished the strongest and drew level when Gavin Woolfenden scored from a corner.

Division Two

Tolleshunt Knights Eagles top of Division two hosted Witham Nomads 4th. The hosts won 7-3, Tolleshunt Knights Eagles goal scorers were Andy Cheek 5, Chris Lancaster and Ashley Turner. Witham Nomads scorers were Sam Greenhagh 2 and Ryan Parsley.

Manor Works 5th were home to Valley Green Reserves 10th. Valley Green Reserves won 3-5. Manor Works goal scorers Matt Stacey, Gary Johnson & Aaron Read. Valley Green Reserves goal scorers were Ben Lambert, Ben Platten, Tyler Smart, Lewis Smart & James Long.

Witham Swan 2 Dunmow Rhodes 3
An excellent performance by Dunmow Rhodes keeper Luke Johnson ,and two brilliant goals by Charlie Gooch, saw Rhodes just edge this game against second placed Witham Swan, at a blustery Witham on Sunday.The game started with a penalty to Witham Swan in the first five minutes,which was taken by Gavin Davis, who shot wide,but Rhodes hit back from this early scare and took the lead,when Sam Duberry set up skipper Christian Roles to score from a good strike. Witham Swan took full advantage,kicking with the wind in there favour,and keeper Luke Johnson pulling off good saves,but Witham Swan drew level from a decent finish from Jared Chammach, the Rhodes defence played well,with Lewis Roe clearing the line with a good header,Luke Johnson making more diving saves and it stayed 1-1 at Half Time.The second half got underway with Witham Swan hitting there second goal from a Gavin Davis header.The blustery conditions were beginning to help Rhodes,when Charlie Gooch hit a fierce shot from just inside the Witham Swan half, and the ball flew past the keeper to make it 2-2.In the closing minutes of the game,Sam Duberry sent over an excellent cross ,it was met by Charlie Gooch,and with a wonderfull overhead kick,the ball flashed into the net,to give Dunmow Rhodes another excellent victory ,with the Final Score 2-3.

Division one Cup 1st Round – Group A

Onley Arms hosted Tiptree Jobserve. Tiptree Jobserve won 3-9. Onley Arms goal scorers were Ben Collar, James Grace & Alessio Tiso. Tiptree Jobserve goal scorers were Josh Robertson 5, James Scarlett 3 & Harry Sutherland.
