Manor Works dumped Tolleshunt Knights Eagles out the Charlie Turnbull Trophy Round 2 by 8 goals to nil. A 1st half hat-trick from Lee Cuddeford, braces from Stuart Marsh and Adam Francis and one from Chris Hopgood completed the scoring.
In the Malcolm Foy Round 1 Scott Miller and Rob Colt saw CSS Celtic through 2-0 over Onley Arms and 2 Adam Potts goals, Ashley Phillips and Callum Ferrell put Notley through against SC Kelvedon 4-0.
In the Premier Division with leaders Western Arms having a week off this gave SC Crittall a chance to close the gap at the top and they did as they took a 2-0 lead but had to hold on as Sporting 77 pulled one back with ten to go through Michael Develin, scorers for Crittall Bradley Hickman and Rory Bone to make it a final score 2-1 to Crittall.
Titan United recovered from their first defeat of the season last week with a hard fought point at CFC Shalford Titan took the lead after 10 minutes when Ross Farquhar curled a free-kick home from the edge of the area, Shalford equalised soon after when Kinsleigh Casimir headed home at the far post, the score remained 1-1 at the break. The home side re-took the lead midway through the second half when Craig Tomlinson headed in from a free-kick, Titan failed to hold the lead and Shalford drew level again when Sam Jones effort looped up and over the keeper. Both sides pushed for the winner but the draw was a fair result.
George FC did the double over Cressing this time taking to the second half to score and only by 4-0 after their empathetic win last time.
Bocking Social lost at home 3-0 to Zizou in the Division One.
Witham Galacticos had a chance to get a strangle hold on the top spot with Terling Villa not having a game this week but failed to do so in a yoyo game against Valley Green. Valley took the lead through Jack Stracey and then Galacticos equalised through Mitchell Yeo, just before half time Brad Hughes made it 2-1 to Valley. The second half got off to a great pace and Galacticos equalised again through Liam Whipps but almost as soon as it was all square Jon Flowers made it 3-2 Valley from a thumping header, again Galacticos pushed and once more made it level through Jamie Laws but for the fourth time Valley managed to get in front through Ryan Scofield. Final score 4-3 to Valley Green.
Old Bramstonians lost 2-1 to Panfield Bell, Ellis Carter scoring both for Panfield.
In Division Two Panfield Bell Reserves lost 2-0 to Tiptree Elite while CFC Shalford A lost to Sporting 77 Reserves 5-2. The home side took the lead thanks to a fine goal from Jason Smith, the visitors fought back to go 3-1 ahead before Josh Jenkins got the hosts back in the game at 3-2, Sporting then scored two more to take a deserved three points with Wayne Kirby, Billy Capper, Kieron Dodge, John Munroe and Dan Dacosta scoring the goals for Sporting.
A Liam Whittaker hat-trick helped Coggeshall Town to a 5-0 win over Silver End Social in Division Three.
Broomfield lost 4-0 at home to Witham Swan scorers Richard Ding, Richard Howlett, Gavin Davis and Tony Jackson for the Swan.
Great Bardfield won in a 3-2 thriller Scorers Chris Dixon, Matt Potter and Ben McGlashan cancelled out strikes from Bocking Social Reserves Elliot Johnson and Andy Johnson.
