BNESL 2014/15

Sunday 4th September 2016

The 2016/2017 Season of the Braintree North Essex Sunday League got off to a flying start with goals being scored in every game that was played.

The Premier Division saw Tiptree Elite go top of the table after beating Valley Green 4-1, while Bocking Social were held to a 2-2 draw by Great Bradfords in a game that saw a good physical battle. The game between Western Arms and CFC Shalford was postponed as CFC Shalford could not field a side in this early season clash.

The First Division saw a nine goal thriller between Panfield Bell (4) and Sporting 77 (5) one of Sporting 77’s goals being gifted by an opposition own goal. Notley and Witham Nomads were held equal at 3-3 in a well fought contest.

In the Second Division there was another thriller with eleven goals being scored between Witham Nomads Reserves (3) and Witham Phoenix (8) which will place Phoenix at the top of the table early on, a position they will hope to maintain throughout the year. All in all the season got off to a great start and was a sure sign that this year will be a great contest for all.
