Braintree Iron dogged out an important away win 0 -1 at Bocking Social in what was a very scrappy game not helped by a heavy pitch. The Irons defence and goalkeeper dominated throughout with a second clean sheet in a row limiting the opposition to few chances and a lot of hopeful long balls. Lewis Soraf was impressive in midfield earning the man of the match award from his team mates. Mitch Simmons continued to impress up front posing the Bocking defence a constant threat with some quality touches and great pace. Kieron Dodge was the Amber and Blacks goalscorer which was well deserved for his all round performance and following a spell of substitute appearances. The Iron continue to climb the League table making full use of their games in hand.
CFC Shalford took on unbeaten Black Notley and it was the visitors who got off the perfect start taking the lead after 8 minutes when poor marking by the Shalford defence from a corner allowed Tom Lightly to strike the ball unmarked powerfully in to the net.

Second place Dunmow Rhodes played host to fifth place Great Bradfords Res at High Easter on Sunday and it was a good hard fought even contest with the 1-1 draw a fair result. The first half saw both teams playing some good football and creating chances at both ends, but neither side could find the back of the net so it was goaless at Half Time. The second half was a bit more lively with a good chance for Rhodes to take the lead when Reece Cottrell sent in a powerful header but it was tipped over the bar by Great Bradfords keeper Daniel Fisher. Great Bradfords took the lead in the first quarter of the half when LEON GRIFFIN fired his well placed shot over Rhodes keeper Luke Johnson. Rhodes drew level from a well taken free kick by Adam Griggs his cross caused problems in the defence, with the ball bobbling around, and it fell to the feet of skipper CHRISTIAN ROLES to fire home to make it 1-1.The last quarter of the match was end to end play with both teams going for that winning goal and both defences were called into action stopping the forwards from both teams snatching a late winner in this good game .
