Malcolm Foy Memorial Trophy
This afternoon Dunmow Rhodes of the first Division took on Tiptree Jobserve Reserves from the second division in the Malcolm Foy Memorial Trophy Final at Halstead Town FC.
The game kicked off and Dunmow Rhodes settled the quickest with passing the ball around neatly. 9 minutes into the game the ball broke to Dunmow Rhodes Kennie Irving who shot from 25 metres and scored a great goal. This seemed to wake Tiptree Jobserve Reserves who pushed on and in the 11th minute Lewis Wollington equalised the game. Both teams then settled down and were playing some nice football. With 10 minutes to go Dunmow Rhodes start to move forward more and had two shots saved by Tiptree Jobserve Reserves goal keeper. Dunmow shot wide in the 37th minute and then over the bar in the 45th minute.

The second half started and Dunmow Rhodes shot wide early. Tiptree Jobserve Reserves pushed and started to play the ball around well and looked very organised at the back with Tiptree Jobserve Reserves midfield being run by Connor Murphy who was looking to play in the lively Liam Murphy and in the 76th minute this worked and Liam Murphy run on to the through ball and finished well to put Tiptree Jobserve Reserves 2-1 up. Both sides continued to play good football. With five minutes to go Dunmow Rhodes started to pile on the pressure but Tiptree Jobserve Reserves continued to defend well backed up by their keeper to secure the win.
