(Updated) – Nags Head Celtic win Andy Livermore Premier Division Cup
Nags Head Celtic won tonight’s Andy Livermore Premier Division Cup beating Braintree Iron 6-3.
The game kicked off and took a slow start with no real chances. After 15 minutes Nags Head Celtic sent a long ball forward and the striker and defender were in a foot race for the ball, Braintree Irons defender handled the ball in the box and a penalty was awarded to Nags Head Celtic. Rory Bone took the penalty and scored to give Nags Head Celtic the lead.
A free kick given to Braintree Iron was sent the ball forward and collected by Mitchell Simmons who shot just wide of the goal. A through ball from Braintree Iron saw Mitchell Simmons run on and has a good shot at goal but it was tipped over the bar By Nags Head Celtic’s keeper Pete Haxell. Mitchell Simmons then put a through ball to goal and shot well but again it was saved by Pete Haxell. Braintree Iron continued to apply pressure and win three corners straight off which came to nothing. Nags Head Celtic go long to the corner and Sean Radley chased the ball, Braintree Irons Keeper comes out and Nags Heads Sean Radley wins a 50/50 tackle and crossed the ball which Braintree Iron clear outside the box which was collected by Nags Head Celtic and Matt Knowles runs on and shoots and scores for Nags Head 2-0.
Braintree Irons Mitchell Simmons puts the ball through and shoots to the corner but Nags Heads keeper Haxell makes another excellent save tipping the ball around the post.
Nags Head Celtic’s Rory Bone sent the ball through and hit a rocket which the Dawkins the keeper parries and is collected by Nags Head Celtic’s Sean Radley who slots it home to make it 3-0 to Nags Head Celtic.

The second half kicks off and Braintree Iron get an early shot in but it’s saved again by Nags Head Celtic’s keeper Haxell. Nags Head Celtic break down the left hand side and laid the ball on to Sean Radley who shoots at goal and scores making it 4-0 to Nags Head Celtic.
Braintree Iron are on the attack and are awarded a foul which results in a penalty and Lewis Soraf takes the penalty and scores for Braintree Iron to make it 4–1. Braintree Irons Mitchell Simmons then shoots again but the ball is saved by the keeper.
Braintree Iron played the ball around the edge of the box and it fell to Nick Stackhouse who shoots and scores for Braintree Iron 4-2.
Nags Head Celtic are on the attack again, the ball is played across to Rory Bone who powers the ball home making it 5-2.
Braintree Irons attacking cross comes in and Sam Jones scores from 6 yards making the score line 5-3, Braintree Iron shoot again and this is again saved by the keeper. Nags Head Celtic attack and a cross comes in and is laid off to Rory Bone who shoots and scores to make it 6-3.
