Gordon Snell Trophy
Braintree Iron played CFC Shalford in the Gordon Snell Trophy Cup Final. This was a very tight game and was decided by the only goal by Braintree Iron’s Nick Stackhouse which won Braintree Iron the cup.

This final saw the bottom two sides in the 1st Division face each other. Onley Arms played Notley FC in an even game. Notley took the lead 1-0 with a goal from Matthew Weston. Onley Arms equalized with a goal from Dean Wiffen late in the first half. The second half continued to be competitive and saw Notley FC’s Bradley Barnard get the only goal in the second half to win 2-1.
Premier Cup Final
Witham United took on double chasing Nags Head Celtic in a good game. Nags Head Rob Spalding scores the only goal during the first half to go 1-0 up at half time. In the second half Nags Head started strong and Cory Carter scored to take Nags Head 2-0 up. Witham United took over to get a goal back when Callum Knightsbridge scored for them. Witham United continued to press and Marti Cullum scores again taking it to 2-2. Nags Head then controlled the play and Cory Carter scored his second goal of the game for Nags Head taking a 3-2 lead. Nags Head were then awarded a penalty with Charlie Palmer scoring in the last kick of the game.
Braintree Irons 2nd hosted Western Arms 7th and got an 8-2 win which they needed to take them within a point of the leaders. The league decider is next Sunday between Nags Head Celtic and Braintree Iron. Braintree Iron goal scorers were S. Jones 4, T. hughes, L. Soraf, K. Dodge & D. Norris. Western Arms goal scorers were Sam Hollocks & Adam Hewitt.
Bocking Social Reserves 6th hosted Great Bradfords 3rd and the away side won 2-1 to set up a big game next week. A win next week will see Great Bradfords go second and an unlikely title win as they will need to win by 14 goals. Bocking Social Reserves goal scorer was Aaron Mangan. Great Bradfords goal scorers were Jack Gilgrist & Tom Doughty.
Great Bradfords Reserves v Dunmow Rhodes
From the kick off Dunmow Rhodes were putting pressure on the Great Bradfords defence and took the lead, when good work Kennie Irving set up skipper Christian Roles to fire home. Midway into the first half Dunmow Rhodes hit there second goal from an excellent strike from Jake Sutton, further chances kept coming and Dunmow Rhodes went 3-0 up from a Jake Sutton cross, it was met by Ben Fisher who flashed the ball into the net with pace. HALF TIME 3-0. The second half continued with Dunmow Rhodes in control, and good efforts from Kennie Irving, Jake Sutton, saw the ball come across to set piece specialist Adam Griggs but it was not his feet involved in the goal, but from a neat headed goal to make it 4-0.Dunmow Rhodes were now playing excellent football, with good passing ,and Lewis Roe having a very good game. Ben Fisher hit his second goal of the game, from a great shot, after excellent play by Kennie Irving to make the FINAL SCORE 5-0 to Dunmow Rhodes. Man of the Match for Dunmow Rhodes was Lewis Roe.
Witham Swan 8th hosted Braintree Legends 1st and got an unexpected 4-4 draw. Witham Sean’s goal scorers were Ryan Kehoe 3 & Marc de la Rue. Braintree Legends goal scorers were Gary Harbert, Aaron Chinnery, Aaron Boyd & Jon Archer.
