A fourth consecutive season of GBFC winning in their first Junior Trophy match. A wet Sunday morning match saw the team dig in to put in one of the best performances we’ve seen. A late goal in the first half for a neat play saw Jamie Martin pass the ball across goal for an Owen Gray tap in. The half ended with pressure to the Bradfords goal as Stephen Ferguson pulled off some world class saves. The first half started much the same with pressure on Bradfords with some breakaway play before George Smith received the ball in space 15 yards into the opposition half, an outstanding strike saw the ball nestle in the top left to make 2-0. Minutes later with Bradfords seeing better possession Nathan Postill broke down the right playing the ball neatly past his defender before firing home to see the match at 3-0. 10 minutes from time and Bradfords were seeing less of the ball before a breakaway and defensive error saw Luke Jones play past the goalkeeper and tap in for 4-0. Bradfords spent much of the final 10 in their own half as we defended well under pressure to ensure the clean sheet was held by a solid back four and deserved Man of the Match performance of Goalkeeper Stephen Ferguson.

Witham White Horse travelled to Great Oakley and lost 4-0.
