Results Round up – Sunday 13th September 2020

Premier Division 

Drum Inn continues an early pace at the top of the Premier Division as they walk away 2-1 winners in the first home fixture of the campaign against CFC Shalford. Nags Head Celtic got off to a winning start at Witham United continuing on from their unbeaten 2019/20 season before it was curtailed. A similar start for Western Arms who start their campaign with a comfortable 5-2 victory over new boys Great Notley United. The final fixture of the division this weekend saw our reigning champions Braintree Iron register their first 3 points as they saw  a 4-1 win over Swan Athletic.  

Division One 

New Boys Barnston AFC saw a competitive fixture against Notley FC First Team edge in their favour with a 4-3 win which sees them at top spot after the second weekend. Braintree Legends and Flitch United cancelled each other out and shared the points in a 2-2 draw on the day. Finchingfield Rovers and Halstead Town reversed their fortunes of the first weekend as Halstead walked away with all three points at 3-1. Panfield Bell finished the weekend with a convincing victory over Sporting 77, the match finished 5-2. Division One has started as an incredibly tight division! 

Division Two

Bradwell Rovers find themselves top on goal difference taking maximum points from the first two weekends after they ran out 1-0 victors at Great Bardfield. A side keeping pressure on them is Great Bradfords FC who in another tight away win for the day saw off Tiptree Jobserve First Team 2-1 handing them another three points. Stisted FC First Team got off the mark in a comfortable 4-1 win over Witham White Horse on Sunday with the final fixture of the day an 11 goal thriller between High Easter FC and Coggeshall Town, High Easter coming off the better and nabbing the points in a 6-5! 

Division Three

Division Three gave us goals galore this weekend starting with a 7-0 win for Tiptree Jobserve Reserves over the young Dunmow United FC. Another thriller saw Great Bradfords FC Reserves see off Witham Phoenix in a 6-2 victory, and another 8 goal game saw early leaders Notley FC Reserves defeat Stisted FC Reserves 7-1. The tightest contest of the day saw shared points between old hands TK Eagles and our other new young team Broomfield in a 2-2.
