The second half started a little slow before Tristan grabbed his second, more opportunities fell notleys way but it was Tiptree who deservedly got on the score sheet.

Braintree Iron progressed to the final of the Premier Division Cup with a 5 – 2 win over CFC Shalford. The Amber and Blacks shrugged off recent indifferent form with a dominating display in a match littered with various sin bins for the opposition and penalty decisions for the home side which made for an interesting Sunday morning. The Iron goal scorers were Sam Jones, James Norris (2) with a penalty and well taken goal seeing off a strong challenge in open play, Mitch Simmons – penalty and Jordan Miller with a long distance strike which must be close to our goal of the season. Pete Junior Musto had his best game of the season so far at right back but the managers pick for the Man of the Match award and Stein of beer provided by our sponsors at The Pub, Braintree was Mitch Simmons who played as a lone striker for most of the game adding real class to the performance.
