Premier Division

Great Bardfield 7th hosted Witham United 10th with the away side winning 5-1 to move up to 7th place. Great Bardfield’s goal scorer was Chris Thompson

Great Bradfords 5th hosted Bocking Social 6th and drew 1-1 seeing both teams staying in the same position in the league. Great Bradfords goal scorer was Tom Doughty and Bocking Social’s goal scorer was Alex Cutts.

Great Notley 8th hosted Nags Head Celtic 3rd and lost 3-2 and move Nags Head Celtic to the top of the table. Great Notley’s goal scorers were Ross Layton and Callum Paradine and Nags Head Celtic’s goal scorers were Rory Bone, Sean Radley & Matthew Knowles.

Western Arms 4th hosted Braintree Iron 2nd and the Home team won 2-1 to go 2nd in the league. Western Arms goal scorers was Ed Newton 2 and Braintree Iron goal scorers was L. Soraf.

Braintree Iron went down to a 2 -1 away defeat to Western Arms. The match was closely fought with both teams playing their part in a really tight contest. Not one for the feint hearted this one with some proper old fashioned Sunday Football on display. Braintree took the lead through a Lewis Soraf penalty only to be pegged back within minutes by a defiant Western Arms. The match continued as a tight physical affair but the last 5 minutes took their toll on a depleted Iron squad with Western eventually taking all 3 points.

Division One

Bocking Eagles 5th hosted Dunmow Rhodes 3rd and drew 1-1 which see both teams drop down places. Bocking Eagles goal scorers was Isaac Falk and Dunmow Rhodes goal scorer was George Hamill.

Dunmow Rhodes were unlucky not to come away with all three points, in this hard fought match at the Bocking Sports Club ground. Bocking Eagles keeper Louis Martin was called into action early in the game, saving well from a George Hamill shot, Kennie Irving also tested Martin, but he saved well again, Dunmow Rhodes continued pushing forward, and creating several chances. Bocking Eagles had a free kick, and it was cleared acrobatically off the goal line by Ollie Blower, it was a good first half , with both teams playing well ,with Dunmow Rhodes having the slight edge. HALF TIME 0-0.The second half got underway with Jake Sutton firing in a shot at Louis Martin and once again saving well. Dunmow Rhodes took the lead when a good shot from just inside the penalty area by George Hamill, flashed past Louis Martin into the net. Dunmow Rhodes found the net again, when Kennie Irving went round advancing keeper Martin on the right flank, he hit a cross ball which found Jake Sutton in space to fire home, but the goal was claimed to be offside, and in the closing minutes of the game, Bocking Eagles had a free kick, the pin point cross found skipper Isaac Falk to head home and make the Final Score 1-1.

Braintree Legends 4th hosted Tiptree Jobserve 8th and won 1-0 to move into 3rd place. Braintree Legends goal scorer was a OG.

Notley FC 9th hosted Sporting 77 6th with the away side winning 5-1 and move up to 4th place. Sporting 77 goal scorers were Jordan Phillips 3, Lee Sexton & Chris Cook.

Panfield Bell 2nd hosted Onley Arms 10th and won 4-2 to remain 2nd. Panfield Bell’s goal scorers were Ben Parker 3 & Jo Johnson. Onley Arms goal scorers Luke Hammond & Ben Collar.

Tiptree Elite 1st hosted Witham Nomads 7th to win 4-3 and stay top. Witham Nomads goal scorers were Eddie Holroyd, James Ambrose & Joe Cornwall.

Division Two

Finchingfield Rovers 9th hosted Witham Phoenix 7th and won 6-2 to move up to 5th place. Witham Phoenix goal scorers were Fab Williams & Richard Niall.

Heybridge Harriers 4th hosted Notley 2nd with the away side winning 6-0 and move top. Notley Reserves goal scorer were Tristan Woolfenden 4, Sam Love & Danny Downes.

Notley 4 up at half time with 2 goals from Tristan Woolfenden and one each for Sam love and captain Danny Downes. An early penalty in the second half by Tristan followed by his forth completed the scoring

Manor Works 1st hosted Witham Town 4th and won 2-1 but they drop down to 2nd place.

Tiptree Jobserve Reserves 8th hosted Great Bradfords Reserves 10th and won 4-1 to go 6th. Tiptree Jobserve’s goal scorers were Louie Wellington, Adam Collins & Liam O’Reilly 2 and Great Bradfords Reserves goal scorer was Jourdain Tighe.

Witham White Horse 5th hosted Tolleshunt Knight Eagles 6th and won 2-1 to move up to 3rd place. Witham White Horse goal scorers were Sean Howard & Ben Platten. Tolleshunt Knight Eagles goal scorer was Brandon Seabar.

Essex Sunday Premier Cup

CFC Shalford played host to East London Old Boys and went out of the competition losing 3-0.
