Premier Division

Braintree Iron 3rd hosted Western Arms 1st and the home side won 5-2 to move up to the top. Braintree Irons goal scorers were M. Simmons 3, M. Frearson & J. Gray and Western Arms goal scorers were Sam Hollocks & Andrew O’Connor.

Braintree Iron made full use of one of their games in hand with a 5 – 2 victory over Western Arms to move to the top of the Premier Division table. The match was a tight affair despite the scoreline with the Amber and Blacks only really getting on top when Western were reduced to 10 men late in the first period. A well taken hat-trick from Mitch Simmons after a lengthy injury lay off really setting up the win. The Iron seem to like to share the goal scoring throughout the squad with Michael Frearson and Jamie Gray adding crucial goals just when needed. Mitch for his 3 goals was nominated as the managers MOTM enjoying the stein of beer at our host pub. Luke Frisby, Jamie Gray, Billy Capper, Jordan Miller and Sam Jones provided the midfield platform on which the win was built and as usual the Iron back 3 of Michael Frearson, Daniel Norris and Dan Ward never gave an inch to preserve their outstanding goal difference stats.

foot from his team, to whipp the ball into the net.Tiptree Jobserve were also having some good play but Dunmow Rhodes keeper was Luke Johnson was stopping any danger. A goal was sure to come at either end and it was Tiptree Jobserve who scored when Matt Griffin hit his second goal of the game from a good shot to make it 3-1 at Full Time.Man of the Match for Dunmow Rhodes was striker Sam Duberry for his hard work throughout the game.
