Results Round Up – Sunday 1st December 2019

Premier Division

CFC Shalford 5th hosted Braintree Legends 6th and the home team won 4-1, which means no movement. CFC Shalford’s goal scorers were Tom Groves, Charlie Griffiths, Charlie Groves & Matt Smith (Pen) and Braintree Legends goal scorer was Ben McGlashen.

Western Arms 4th hosted Nags Head Celtic 1st and the away side won 7-1 to move 4 points clear at the top. Nags Head Celtic’s goal scorers were Rory Bone 4, Sean Radley, Charlie Frost & Bartosz Pater and Western Arms goal scorer was Jack Murphy.

Division One

Dunmow Rhodes 7th hosted Panfield Bell 3rd and the away side won 3-2 and move up to 2nd. Dunmow Rhodes goal scorer was Georgio Paolo and Panfield Bell’s goal scorers were Sam Smith, Lewis Sennox & Jack Rolfe.

Over the past seasons Dunmow Rhodes and Panfield Bell always seem to conjure up a good game of football and this one did not disappoint, in a tail of two half`s.An early chance fell to Dunmow Rhodes when Emilio Caceres Sola rattled the cross bar,but it was Panfield Bell who found the back of the net first when Sam Smith swept a good shot past Dunmow Rhodes keeper Luke Johnson,Panfield Bell soon made it 0-2 after an excellent run and shot by the leading goal scorer in division one Lewis Sonnex,the ball flying in the top corner of the goal.Dunmow Rhodes nearly pulled a goal back before half time ,but the shot was well stopped on the goal line.HALF TIME 0-2.The second got underway with Dunmow Rhodes pushing forward for goals, but Panfield Bell hit a third goal from a decent strike from Jack Rolfe,this goal seem to put Dunmow Rhodes into gear and the ever busy Emilio Caceras Sola found George Paola who whipped the ball into the net to make it 1-3.The same duo teamed up to score Dunmow Rhodes second goal,good tricky work from Emilio Caceras Sola found George Paola to score his second goal,making it 2-3,with ten minutes left of the game.Panfield Bell keeper Callum Lamprigre was having a great game saving many shots,coming from the Dunmow Rhodes forwards without any success,and the Final Score ending 2-3.

Great Bardfield 9th hosted Witham Town 1st and the game ended in a 4-4 draw with no movement. Great Bardfield’s goal scorers were Matthew Potter 2, Paul Knott & Liam Quinn and Witham Town’s goal scorers were Max Wilson, Tommy Hayes, Shane Lindsell & Ryan McCormack.

Stisted FC 8th hosted Flitch United 10th and the away side won 3-0 with no movement. Flitch United’s goal scorers were Tom Trendall & Stuart Stanley 2.

Division Two

Finchingfield Rovers 1st hosted Stisted Reserves 3rd and the away side won 0-2 with no movement. Stisted Reserves goal scorers were Ricky Leftly & Taylor Nicholson.

Rovers fell to a surprise defeat to blow the Division Two title race wide open. A very even, hard fought match saw Stisted take the lead before half time, due to a defensive error. Rovers couldn’t find a way through a resolute defence before Stisted wrapped up the points, due to a very contentious penalty decision.

Tiptree Jobserve Reserves 6th hosted Braintree Legends Reserves 1st and the home side won 5-4 and move up to 4th place thanks to goals from Charlie Else, Kieron Oakley, Harry Dalton, Owen Foster and Henry Rayment. Braintree Legends Reserves goal scorers were Dan Whitham & Ben Dyer 3.

Witham Phoenix 10th hosted Bradwell Rovers 7th and the away side won 7-2 and move up to 6th place. Witham Phoenix’s goal scorers were Darren Sayward & Gary Johnson and Bradwell Rovers goal scorers were Louis Claxton 4, Shaye Ellis, Reece Blagden & Ryan Mann.

Division Two Cup

Witham White Horse hosted Notley Reserves and the home sides went through after winning 5-1. Witham White Horse’s goal scorers were Jay Crane 2, Scott Barrett 2 & Sam Parsons.

Essex Junior Cup

Notley FC hosted Emerson Oak and went out 1-2 after extra time. Notley FC’s goal scorer was Tristan Woolfenden.

This county cup game was 1-1 after 90 minutes into extra time notley paid the price for missed opportunities as emerson oak scored in the last minute of the game.
