Results Round Up – Sunday 22nd May 2022

The season is drawing to an end in the next few weeks in the BNESL and we will have to wait and see what happens to next Sunday`s fixtures owing to the Large Cycle Race in our local towns with road closure`s.


Panfield Bell lost 2-0 against Halstead Town with Matt Wooldridge scoring both goals.


Leauge champions AFC Barnston finished the league season with a 6-0 win over Kelvedon Social.

High Easter had home ground advantage on Sunday against ten men Braintree Legends and are now becoming the second half specialist`s smashing in another 7 second half goals in there 8-1 win over the Legends. The first thirty minutes of the first half was a good even contest, and Braintree Legends took the lead from a good strike by Rory Willett. Warren Baines had a great shot for High Easter but it hit the post, and George Hamill took a free kick which the Legends keeper saved well, with in a few minutes High Easter were awarded a penalty which George Hamill smashed it into the bottom left hand corner in style and it was 1-1 at Half Time. The second half got underway with hat trick hero from last week Christian Roles firing in the home teams second goal after good football from Henry French. George Hamill was having a good game and he set up Christian Roles to score his second goal and High Easter`s third. Henry French made a dazzling run on goal and an excellent finish to make it 4-1. The pressure continued on the Legends goal and it was soon became 5-1 when Jake Sutton rattled the back of net with a good shot. Warren Baines fired in a great strike to make it 6-1, all the goals were brilliant and they kept coming through Josh Breeze who has been playing in goal for two weeks, but in the back four in this match and scored a well taken goal making it 7-1. Harrie Irving High Easter`s normal keeper was playing well in goal, but the last ten minutes he came out and played in midfield and he had a shot that hit the cross bar. In the closing minutes of the game Josh Breeze sent over a corner and was met by Christian Roles with a headed goal to make the Final Score 8-1 and another hat trick for Christian Roles.


Halstead Town Res lost 3-1 to Notley Athletic.


Tiptree Jobserve Res were on the wrong end of a nine goal thriller against Witham White Horse losing 6-3. Josh Haylock 2 and James Hughes scoring for Tiptree Jobserve Res.

This was the last game of the season for Braintree Athletic when they beat Valley Green 7-2. Goals for Braintree Athletic coming from an OG and midway through the first half Finn Seymour scored from an assist from Cameron Easter. Two more goals came before half time with Finn Seymour setting up Connah Pugh to score and James Patching on target from a Dave Barnard pass. Valley Green hit back with two goals, but Braintree Athletic made sure of victory hitting two more goals from Cameron Easter and a second goal from Finn Seymour from a shot outside the box.
