Gordon Snell Trophy 4th Round

Great Bradford of the first division hosted Bocking Social of the Premier division and saw the away side win 2-0 to move into the semi final. Bocking Social’s goal scorers were Tyler Kemp & Mike Davies.

Malcolm Foy Memorial Trophy Semi Final

Dunmow Rhodes got back into the action in the Semi – Final of the Malcolm Foy Memorial Trophy at Division 1 side Great Bardfield on Sunday, and what an excellent cup game this was. Great Bardfield got off to good start, and were awarded a penalty in the first six minutes, but Adam Daniels missed, when his shot hit the post, the more experienced Great Bardfield side which included Scott Forbes in midfield controlled the game ,and kept the Dunmow Rhodes defence busy, but the young side stood up well, and controlled every attack that came there way. Dunmow Rhodes started to have a good spell of play with skipper Christian Roles and Jake Sutton going close, Great Bardfield took the lead when Adam Daniels fired home, Dunmow Rhodes hit back quickly when JP.Alexander sent in a great shot which flew past keeper Daniel Mayne to make it 1-1 at Half Time. Dunmow Rhodes came out stronger in the second half and the pace of Sam Duberry and Jake Sutton were causing problems in the Great Bardfield defence, the vocal support from both supporters, and praise must go to referee B.Ridge, making the game enjoyable to watch. Dunmow Rhodes hit there second goal when Jake Sutton scored from a good finish to make 2-1,this set the match alight in the closing minutes of the game ,Great Bardfield threw everything at the Dunmow Rhodes defence, Fred Robinson going close on two occasions for Great Bardfield ,but they held firm as did keeper Josh Breeze who had a very good game, and saw the Final Score ending 2-1 for Dunmow Rhodes. This is Dunmow Rhodes first season in the adult football league, and credit must go for reaching the Cup Final. MOM for Dunmow Rhodes was Jake Sutton.

Neil Horrocks Memorial Invitation Plate

Onley Arms of the first division hosted Witham Swan of the second division and the home side won 6-1 and kept their hopes of going through alive. Onley Arms goal scorers were James Bau, Sam Phillips, Ben Collar, Dean Wiffin 2 & Harry Alexander. Witham Swans goal scorer was Marc de la Rue

Premier Division

Western Arms 7th hosted Tiptree Elite 8th and the Home side won 6-4 in a high scoring game. Western Arms goal scorers were Paul Wicks 3, Sam Hollocks 2, Ross Debrick 1. Tiptree Elite’s goal scorers were Scott Simmons, Mario Andrew, Carl Driver & Lewis Longdon.

Broomfield FC 9th hosted Witham United 6th with the away side winning 3-1 to move up to 5th place. Broomfield FC’s goal scorer was Jack Hester. Witham United’s goal scorers were J. Button, R. King & M. Hearn.

Division One

Notley FC 7th hosted Tiptree Jobserve 3rd and the away side won 5-1 to move within a point of second place. Notley FC’s goal scorer was Jason Thompson. Tiptree Jobserves goal scorers were Finlay Kirwan 3 & Josh Robertson 2.

Division Two

Manor Works 8th hosted Witham Nomads 5th with the away side winning 3-2 to move into 3rd place. Manor Works goal scorer was Matt Stacey 2. Witham Nomads goal scorers were Stuart Haynes, Sam Greenhagh & Paul Lecompte.

Witham Phoenix 7th hosted Great Bradford Reserves 6th and won 2-1 which sees these side swap places in the league. Brilliant match Witham Phoenix went 1-0 down and pulled it back then scored a second not long before half time very close in second half with Great Bradford Reserves getting a penalty saved by Aaron O’Shea. Witham Phoenix goal scorers were Jon Flowers & Jack Vidler. Great Bradford Reserves goal scorer was Jack Gilgrist.

Tolleshunt Knight Eagles 3rd hosted Panfield Bell 4th with the away side winning 3-0 to move to second place. Panfield Bell’s goal scorers were Liam Jeffries, Josh Peep & Ben Parker.
