After another two week break, it was back to action for Dunmow Rhodes on Sunday against Halstead Town, and the break did not stop there scoring abilty as the team whipped in six goals, which makes ten goals in the there last two games. The game was quite even in the early stages of the first half, but Dunmow Rhodes were starting to create chances, with Frank Ladlow hitting the crossbar and Emilio Caceres Sola hitting the post, skipper Ollie Blower skimmed the crossbar, and a goal soon came for Dunmow Rhodes from a brilliant strike from distance by Kennie Irving to make it 0-1, the away team took a two goal lead when a good shot by Charlie Gooch was partly saved by the Halstead Town keeper, but the loose ball fell to Jake Sutton who slotted the ball into the net.The Dunmow Rhodes team were rearly testing the home keeper, with long range efforts on goal, and it was know surprise when Frank Ladow smashed in the teams third goal to make it 0-3 at Half Time. The second half started with Halstead Town testing the Dunmow Rhodes defence, and from a good clearance the ball fell to Charlie Gooch, his pace on goal and an excellent shot saw the ball nestle in the back of the net to make it 0-4,it was soon 0-5 with another decent strike from Kennie Irving, and the same player completed his hat trick to make the Final Score 0-6 to Dunmow Rhodes.Reece Cottrell had another excellent game for Dunmow Rhodes in defence.

The game was scrappy at times, but not without its incidents and chances as a missed Rovers penalty early in the first half denied Rovers the chance to take the lead. A corner followed shortly afterwards and a poor clearance from Bradwell broke to Ollie Rand who put us 0-1 up.@ollierand with the opportunity to shoot low and hard. Rovers continued to press and Bradwell were reduced to multiple fouls and the odd counter attack. A subsequent free kick was awarded just outside the 18 yard box on the left and Rand proceeded to swing a beautiful cross to the far post, for Callum Sparrow to charge in to the box and place a beautiful right footed volley in to the back of the net. 0-2 Rovers!!!Bradwell rallied and threw bodies forward on the counter attack, and their effort was rewarded as we approached the break. The Bradwell striker turned his man just outside the box and placed a tidy right footed shot to the left of Dan Matthews. Bradwell had somehow got themselves back in it. Rovers came out of the blocks in the second half, dominating possession and limiting Bradwell to one fine save from Dan Matthews low down to his right.

Rovers continued to press forward looking to kill the game, and were rewarded for our tenacity with 15 minutes to go. Rand again the provider, battling down the left before whipping in an out-swinging cross for Charlie Pitt to rise and nod home to make it 1-3. An important three points with some of championship rivals slipping up.
