Results Round Up – Sunday 27th October 2019

Premier Division

Bocking Social 4th hosted Sporting 77 5th and the away side won 3-2 and stay 5th. Bocking Socials goal scorers were Ed Holroyd & Tom Coe and Sporting 77’s goal scorers were Jack McIntyre & Matt Hill 2.

Braintree Legend 1st 7th hosted Western Arms 3rd and the away side won 3-1 and stay 3rd. Braintree Legends goal scorer was Robert Constantine and Western Arms goal scorers were Ryan Henshaw 2 & Ben Jones.

Nags Head Celtic 1st hosted Braintree Iron 2nd and the home side won 4-2 to move 5 points clear at the top. Nags Head Celtic’s goal scorers were Corey Carter 3 & Matty Knowles and Braintree Iron’s goal scorer was Toby Blanche 2 (1 Pen).

Tiptree Engaine 8th hosted CFC Shalford 6th and the away side won 7-4 and move up to 4th. Tiptree Engaine’s goal scorers were Tayla Hughes, Ezra Drann 2 & Tom Chapman and CFC Shalford’s goal scorers were Matt Smith 3, Lawrence White, Owen Rogers, Charlie Griffiths & Tyler Butcher. This game saw CFC Shalford go 1-0 up, 3-1 down and then 4-3 up by half time.

Division One

Heybridge Harriers 7th hosted Stisted FC 6th and the home side won 5-3 to move up to 6th. Heybridge Harriers. Heybridge Harriers goal scorers were Stuart French 2, Aaron Stephenson-Roberts 2 & James Baker and Stisted FC’s goal scorers were Sam Phillips, Kimani Sobovejo & Ross Cook.

Division Two

Witham White Horse 8th hosted Witham Phoenix 10th and the game finished in a 2-2 draw and Witham Phoenix move up to 9th. Witham White Horse’s goal scorers were Ben Platten & Jared Chammach and Witham Phoenix’s goal scorers were Jamie McLaughlin (Pen) & Danny Sutton.

Witham Phoenix’s Jamie McLaughlin scored from a penalty and Danny Sutton scored after being set up by regan turner who Manager Terri had just put on as a substitute.

Malcolm Foy Memorial Trophy – Round Two

Kenson FC of Division One hosted Finchingfield Rovers from Division Two and the home side went through with a 7-1 win. Kenson FC’s goal scorers were Dave Shelley 3, Lee Nash 2, Sam Sullivan & Will Ritchie and Finchingfield Rovers goal scorer was Jake Lander.

Notley First of Division One hosted Braintree Legend Reserves of Division Two and the home side won 4-3 on penalties after the game finished 0-0 at full time and 1-1 at extra time. Notley Firsts goal scorers was Liam Pettitt and Braintree Legend Reserves goal scorer was Tate Filby.

0-0 after 90 minutes saw this cup game go into extra time legends scored 10 minutes into it when a looping cross was headed home. Legends keeper made 4 or 5 unbelievable saves during the 120 minutes but in the last play of the game notleys keeper harry philp was sent forward for a long throw by George shorten in the scramble liam Pettitt headed home the equaliser that sent the game

into penalties at 3–3 with notley keeper philp making two saves Callum Farrell stepped up to slot home the final pen to win the game for notley

Stisted Reserves of Division Two hosted Halstead Town of Division One and the away side went through with a 3-1 win. Stisted Reserves goal scorer was Billy Kinkaid and Halstead Towns goal scorers were Ryan Munson, Arnold Ferridge & Jack Wollington.

Tolleshunt Knight Eagles of Division Two hosted Tiptree Jobserve of Division One and the home side won 2-1 to go through to the next round. Tolleshunt Knight Eagles goal scorers were Chris Lancaster & Paul Suttling and Tiptree Jobserves goal scorer was James Scarlett.

Witham Town of Division One hosted Great Bradford of Division Two and the full time result was 2-2 and after extra time Witham Town won 4-3. Witham Towns goal scorers were Harry Stoneham 2, James Stewart & Max Wilson and Great Bradford’s goal scorers were Stefan Gray, Kobe Aspin & Keith Jones.
