Results Round up – Sunday 3rd March 2019

Essex Premier Cup Semi Final

Braintree Iron hosted Palmers FC in a tight game. Palmers FC took the lead and they edged possession and scored again to take a 2-0 lead. Braintree Iron then pushed and pulled a goal back when Lewis Soraf converted a penalty, they continued to push but got caught on the break to concede a third goal. The full time whistle saw the result 3-1 to Palmers FC.

Chelmsford & Braintree Inter League Sunday Plate

Bocking Social hosted CMS and the home side won 7-3. Bocking Socials goal scorers were Ellis Carter 3, Scott Kemp, Jack Bradshaw, Charlie Turner & an OG.

Great Bardfield hosted Chelmsfordians with the away side winning 1-5. Great Bardfield’s goal scorer was Daniel Mayne.

CFC Shalford travelled to Hatfield Swan Inn and the home side won 5-1. CFC Shalford’s goal scorers was Tyrone White (Pen).

Great Notley travelled to Stones and drew 1-1. Great Notley’s goal scorer was Vern Applegarth.

Division One

Braintree Legends 3rd hosted Bocking Eagles 7th and the game was drawn 1-1. Both teams remain in the same positions. Braintree Legends goal scorer was Tino Chinake and Bocking Eagles goal scorer was Joe Nicholls.

Dunmow Rhodes 4th hosted Sporting 77 2nd and the away side won 0-2 and remain 2nd by 2 points with a game in hand. Sporting 77’s goal scorers were Lee Sexton & Thom Scotting.

After a run of seven away games it was a welcome return to there High Easter home ground for Dunmow Rhodes with a top of the table match against Sporting 77 on Sunday.The match started with both teams playing some good football and creating chances,but the first goal of the game went to Sporting 77 just before half time when Lee Sexton scored with a good shot past Dunmow Rhodes keeper Luke Johnson to make it 1-0 at Half Time.The second half continued with the same pattern with both teams dominating different periods of the half, and like the first half Sporting 77 scored there second goal two minutes before full time when Thom Scotting fired home to make the Final Score 2-0 this result puts Sporting 77 in second place and Dunmow Rhodes in forth position.

Onley Arms 10th hosted Notley 8th and the game was drawn 4-4 which sees Onley Arms move up to 9th. Onley Arms goal scorers were Nick Trigg, Ross Cook 2, Richard Roberts and Notley’s goal scorers were George Smith, Joe Russell, Edward Leader & Nathan Postill.

Panfield Bell 5th hosted Tiptree Jobserve 6th and the away side won 0-5 with no movement in the league. Tiptree Jobserve’s goal scorers were Scarlett 3 & Kent 2.

Invitation Cup

Witham Nomads hosted Manor Works and drew 4-4. Witham Nomads goal scorers were Eddie Holroyd 2, Joe Cornwall & Bailey Wright and Manor Works goal scorers were Reid Whitehead, Adam Francis, Garry Hart & Adam Starckey.

Division Two Cup Semi Final

Notley Reserves hosted Tiptree Jobserve Reserves and the home side won 7-1 to move into the final. Notley Reserves goal scorers were Callum Farrell 5, Danny Downes & George Shorten and Tiptree Jobserve Reserves goal scorer was Adam Collins.

Witham Town hosted Heybridge Harriers and the home side won 6-1 to move into the final. Witham Towns goal scorers were Harry Stoneham 2, Jack Stoneham, Adam O’Neill, Shane Lindsell & James Stewart and Heybridge Harriers goal scorer was Evan Davis.
