Braintree Iron were away to Pitsea Athletic and won 0-3.

Braintree Iron progressed through to the third round of the Essex Sunday Premier Cup with a convincing 0 – 3 away win at Pitsea Athletic. The Iron did the BNESL proud winning the tie despite playing on an unfamiliar 4G pitch and with a squad stretched to its limits. Yet another clean sheet from the Amber and Blacks defence was the foundation. A totally dominant midfield display created the platform. The strikers all played a part. Braintree goalscorers were Jordan Miller, Nick Stackhouse and a penalty from Lewis Soraf. Special mention for Jordan Miller who dictated the play from the middle of the park. Billy Capper who is proving an outstanding deputy for our injured keeper between the sticks and Will Hardy who was the managers pick for MOTM who never stopped running for 90 minutes making a vital contribution in his first competitive start for the club.

Witham United were away to Palmers but lost 6-2. Witham United’s goal scorer was R. Leftly 2.
