Results Round Up – Sunday 6th December 2020

Premier Division

A competitive return to the Premier Division saw the leagues two top dogs Braintree Iron and Nags Head Celtic cancel each other out in a 3-3 draw. Another draw was seen in Silver End as Western Arms let a 2-0 lead at half time slip to see CFC Shalford share the spoils on the day leaving CFC Shalford 4th whilst Western Arms fail to move out of 6th place. The bottom end of the table saw Great Notley edge closer to relegation as they were picked off 5-1 against Witham United. The other game scheduled Drum Inn Vs Swan Athletic was postponed due to pitch conditions.

Division One

We had a complete washout in Division One this weekend as all three fixtures were postponed due to waterlogging.

Division Two

Prior to the lockdown Division Two was our most competitive division and today made no changes to that. Great Bradfords FC First Team held on to top spot on goal difference as they saw off Stisted FC First Team in a 4-2 victory. High Easter kept pace with the leaders only behind on goal difference in a 4-2 win over league strugglers Witham White Horse. Great Bardfield’s pre-lockdown form also continued as they saw a 5-2 win over Tiptree Jobserve seeing the Tiptree now fall a bit behind the pack above them. This one is going to go to the wire!

Division Three

Division Three leaders Notley Reserves saw their fixture against chasers Tiptree Jobserve Reserves postponed due to waterlogging allowing Stisted the chance to take top spot with a win over Broomfield, Stisted gladly obliged with a 9-1 victory seeing them top with a strong goal difference to boot! Dunmow United won 5-0 against Witham Phoenix staying happy in 4th spot. Great Bradfords Reserves lost our 7-1 to TK Eagles on the day in a surprise result showing an upturn in Eagles form.
