Results Round Up – Sunday 9th May 2021

Premier Division

The Premier Division came to a close this weekend as Nags Head Celtic saw off Western Arms 5-1. Drum Inn also cemented 3rd place with an 8-3 win over Swan Athletic who avoid relegation in 6th place. Champions elect Braintree Iron are not quite over the finish line with decisions still to be made on called off games that would see Nags Head Celtic draw level on points but fall short on goal difference due to the two postponed fixtures.

Division One

Division One is all but finished as Panfield Bell were crowned champions on Sunday with a 9-1 victory over Halstead Town who will now finish the season in third place meaning Finchingfield Rovers complete back to back promotions finishing in second place. Barnston AFC run out 7-2 winners against Sporting 77 confirming their drop to Division Two next season, with 7th place still up for contention as Notley First Team can save themselves if they beat Halstead Town.

Division Two

High Easter’s league win was confirmed last weekend and they confirmed that with a 2-0 win at Great Bradfords First Team who after being top of the table on the return now find themselves 7th and technically relegated having failed to win a single game since the return. Coggeshall Town’s form continued to struggle with a 4-2 loss against Bradwell Rovers who only miss promotion narrowly. Great Bardfield currently hold second spot to go to Division One next season but that could all change if Stisted manage to beat champions High Easter next weekend.

Division Three

Notley Reserves won 1-0 against promotion challengers Tiptree Jobserve Reserves to see themselves Champions of Stisted Reserves who will now be guaranteed second spot and promotion. Jobserve Reserves have 2 matches left with only Broomfield and Great Bradfords Reserves able to switch positions in the table now if Jobserve beat Bradfords by 6 or more in their midweek game on 19th
