Flitch United 3rd hosted Great Notley 10th and Flitch United won 3-2 to move up to 2nd place. Flitch United’s goal scorers were Jake Buckland, Chris Moore & Troy Featherstone and Great Notley’s goal scorers were Sam Edwards & Ross Layton.
Great Bardfield 8th hosted Bocking Social 9th and the away side won 3-0 to move up to 8th place. Bocking Social’s goal scorers were Stuart Kent, Luke Snowling & Tom Lightly.
Bocking Eagles 7th hosted Braintree Legends 5th and the home side won 3-2 and move up to 6th place. Bocking Eagles goal scorers were Alpha Kia-Semba, Jason Lott & Jamie Anderson and Braintree Legends goal scorers were Arron Walker & Ben McGlashan.
Dunmow Rhodes 4th hosted Tiptree Jobserve 6th and won 5-2 to move up to 3rd place. Dunmow Rhodes goal scorers were Sam Duberry 2, Emilio Caceres, Harrie Irving & Christian Roles.
This match was a Christmas Cracker special between Dunmow Rhodes and Tiptree Jobserve with the hosts picking up the gift of three valuable points before the Christmas break. Tiptree Jobserve started well and took the lead early from a good strike from Nathan Kent, seeing the ball flash past Dunmow Rhodes keeper Luke Johnson. Dunmow Rhodes responded well with Sam Duberry sending in a neat header past keeper Jay Adutwim, after he had fumbled the first shot to make it 1-1.Goal of the game came from Emilio Caceres Sola who saw keeper Jay Adutwim well of his goal line, and with a shot come lob from distance saw the ball land perfectly into the net to make it 2-1 at Half Time. The second half started with end to end football and both teams creating chances. Dunmow Rhodes scored there third goal when Sam Hockley made a well timed run down the right flank, to beat the offside trap, his excellent low cross was met by Christian Roles to fire into the net. Tiptree Jobserve came back into the game, from a corner kick, the ball flew into the back of net from a Daniel Okusaga header. Dunmow Rhodes defence were once again in top form as Tiptree Jobserve were looking for there third goal, but excellent play from Warren Baines and Emilio Caceres Sola set up a perfect goal for Sam Duberry to slot home to make it 4-2.There was great joy around the High Easter ground from players and supporters when Dunmow Rhodes hit there fifth goal coming from Harry Irving, smashing the ball into the net to make the Final Score 5-2. Man of the Match for Dunmow Rhodes was Lewis Roe who had a great game in midfield.
Notley FC 10th hosted Onley Arms 9th and got their first win of the season with a 3-2 win. Notley FC’s goal scorers were Joe Russell 2 & Louis Woodcock and Onley Arms goal scorer was Ross Cook 2.
Sporting 77 3rd hosted Witham Nomads 8th and the home team won 8-3 to move up to 2nd place. Sporting 77’s goal scorers were Chris Cook 3, Ben Barnsley 2, Thom Scotting, Luke Anderson & Charlie Luxton and Witham Nomads goal scorers were Joe Cornwall 2 & Louis Williams.
Finchingfield Rovers 7th hosted Great Bradford Reserves 4th and the away side won 3-1. Finchingfield Rovers goal scorer was Aaron Hepworth and Great Bradford Reserves goal scorer was Leon Griffin 3.
Manor Works 2nd hosted Notley Reserves 1st and the away side won to move 10 points clear at the top. Manor Works goal scorer was Gary Johnson and Notley Reserves goal scorers were Danny Downes, Scott Collins, Callum Farrell & David Cornwell.
After a good start Notley found themselves one down after 15 minutes, David Cornwell’s powerful header drew Notley level before a lovely low range strike from Scott Collins put them ahead Danny Downes bundled the ball over the line to go into half time 3-1 up. An early second half goal from Callum Farrell put the game to bed for Notley.
Witham Town 6th hosted Tiptree Jobserve Reserves 5th and the home side so 4-1 to move up to 5th place. Witham Towns goal scorers were Harry Stoneham, OG, Shane Lindsell & Ryan McCormack and Tiptree Jobserve Reserves goal scorer was Lewis Wollington.
