Results Roundup – Sunday 17th September 2017

Premier Division

Black Notley played their first game of the season and beat Broomfield 6-2.
Tiptree Elite hosted Flitch United Sunday FC.  Flitch United won keeping their 100% record beating Tiptree Elite 5-2.
Nags Head Celtic went top of the Premier Division after beating Valley Green 7-0- NH Celtic continued their fine form to put 7 past Valley Green in a very one sided affair.The prolific Charlie Palmer carried on his scoring spree netting the first, a sublime strike from 35 yards into the stanchion. Corey Carter bagged five and Rory Bone tapped home from close range for the 7th. 
Western Arms moved to 2nd place after beating Braintree Irons 4-3.
Witham United got their first win of the season beating Bocking Social 4-2.  Bocking lost their first of the season.
Division 1

Bocking Social Reserves hosted leaders Great Bardfield today. Bocking lead 1-0 at half time from an own goal.  Scored in the second half gave Bocking a 2-0 win at full time.
Great Notley went top of Division 1 today beating Tiptree Jobserve 8-3.
Notley FC lost 1-5 to Great Bradfords FC – Notley were second best in every department too while Bradfords capitalised on Notleys errors Matt Knowles grabbed Notleys consultation goal with the best finish of the lot. 
Sporting 77 got their first win of the season beating Onley Arms 13-5.
Division 2

Braintree Legends lost 2-7 to Dunmow Rhodes – An excellent performance by Dunmow Rhodes FC,after there heavy defeat the previous week,they came away with a 7-2 win against Braintree Legends FC on Sunday.Dunmow Rhodes got of to a great start,from a corner kick,George Hamill sent over a great cross,and it was met by Reece Cottrell with a brilliant headed goal.Braintree Legends soon drew level,from an Aaron Chinnery free kick on the right flank,his shot gave Dunmow Rhodes keeper Luke Johnson no chance to save.Dunmow Rhodes hit there second goal,with neat football from Kennie Irving,his pass found Jake Sutton to fire home.Skipper Christian Roles made it 3-1 to Dunmow Rhodes,when a mistake by the Braintree Legends keeper,let the ball slip from his hands,and Roles whipped the ball into an empty net. The second half got underway with Dunmow Rhodes still playing well,with the defence and midfield, giving plenty of support to the forwards, Ben Fisher made a strong run at the Braintree Legends defence, his pass found Christian Roles, who smashed the ball into the net to make it 4-1. Ben Fisher then got on the score sheet himself, with a fine goal. Set piece specialist Adam Griggs fired in a free kick to make it 6-1 to Dunmow Rhodes, but Braintree Legends were having a decent spell of play and pulled a goal back from an excellent shot by Arron Chinnery which made it 6-2. Dunmow Rhodes hit number seven when Sam Hockley sent over a cross from the right flank Christian Roles met the ball and powered in a great shot for his hat trick to make the final score 7-2. 
Great Bradfords Reserves lost at home to TK Eagles 2-5 with TK Eagles moving up to 2nd place in the table.
Panfield Bell drew with Valley Green Reserves 3-3.
Witham Phoenix 1 Manor Works 4.  Manor Works won their first game of the Season.
Top two at the start of the day played each other with  Witham Swan winning 4-0 against Witham Nomads – Witham swan fully deserved the 3 points.  2 cracking goals from there striker. Nomads wasn’t at the races.
