Valley Green made it through to the Quarter-Finals of the Essex Sunday Junior Cup after they won their fourth round tie at home against Clements Athletic 3-2 after extra time. Jon Flowers, James Brown and Kalvin O’Dowd scoring the goals for Valley who await the draw to find out who they will play.
Notley bowed out of the Essex Sunday Junior Trophy at the fourth round stage losing 3-1 after extra time against Carrington, Jordan Lipedes with the only goal.
Division two table-toppers Witham United made it through to the next round of the Charlie Turnbull Memorial Trophy after they beat division one leaders Witham Galacticos 5-4 on penalties, United travel to face premier division opposition in the Quarter-finals.
Sporting 77 Reserves are through to round three of the Malcolm Foy Trophy after a 5-3 win at home against CSS Celtic, Taylor Hughes and Immanuel Lawrence both netted with Wayne Kirby completing the scoring for the hosts, Robert Cole, Sean Radley and Peter Falco scored the consolation goals for CSS.
Zizou hit double figures in Division One winning 10-2 away against Manor Works. Gary Johnson and Stuart Ellis scored the goals for Manor Works.
Tiptree Elite moved level on points with the leaders in Division Two following a 4-2 win away at CFC Shalford ‘A’, the visitors lead 4-0 at the break thanks to two goals from Mario Andrew and one apiece for Matt Eve and Scott Simmons. Shalford fought back in the second half and pulled two goals back thanks to a Bradley Keefe penalty and Jon Archer.
